Montparnasse Cemetery is in Paris's 14th arrondissement. Roughly 47 acres in size, the cemetery contains 35,000 plots and is the resting place of political figures, philosophers, artists, actors, and writers, including Sussan Sontag, Simone de Beauvoir, and Charles Baudelaire. A visit here makes you slow down as you wander and wonder at the lives lived by those who rest here.
